Improving the FUE: Community Projects - initial instructions can be much clearer
Getting some feedback the core flow is not inherently obvious. We want to "teach" new users that WVS is similar to GitHub project. We need to make this explicit. For the 3 example projects we highlight on the Landing page we need to do something like:
-
Add the following text overlayed onto the Project cover art image: A. Fork the project to your namespace B. Clone the project locally C. Start modding and pushing changes with your team. See the README file below for details.
-
In the README file, explain the concept of namespace more clearly. Some users appear confused by this, and call out any restrictions to project names that can be used.
-
We want to end the README files with a few strong messages: A. Community: Please reach out to us and learn more from the Community on our Discord (and add url link to Discord). B. Profile: Update your profile and share your projects with your team mates privately, or with the community publicly. C. Start working with your project: Link back to the Landing page!
